DHCC coordinates workshops for different purposes and different target groups.

Workshop examples:

  • Deaf and/or hard of hearing people: Educational (ie: computer training & self-advocacy), coping strategies and legal rights to communication access
  • Hearing people: Deaf Culture Sensitivity Training, American Sign Language
  • Interpreters and/or Teachers: ASL teacher training, advanced interpreting skills and legal interpreting training

DHCC's workshops may last two hours or two days and some take the form of study groups, where individuals meet regularly to learn and practice new skills.

We can design workshops to help meet your needs whether they are to improve communication access for Deaf and hard of hearing people or enhance the skills of consumers or professionals.
