| DHCC designs a sensitivity
training program to meet the customer's needs. We recommend a minimum
of 2 hours for a sensitivity workshop. We also offer half-day or full-day
workshops. DHCC likes to consult with any Deaf and/or hard of hearing
employees from the organization requesting the training. These employees
have the best insight into the issues and topics that should be addressed.
Topics Include:
- Impact of Hearing Loss on Deaf and Hard of Hearing People
- Deaf Culture and ASL
- ADA Awareness
- Communication Tips/Strategies
- General Information Re: Sign Language
- How to Use an Interpreter
- Technical Devices
Cancellation
In the event that the sensitivity training must be cancelled, your company
must notify DHCC with two (2) full business days notice between the
date of the training and the date of the cancellation or full payment
for that session will be expected. The same notice is required to cancel
the interpreter or full charges apply. Sensitivity Training that is
cancelled due to severe weather conditions will be rescheduled at no
charge.
Payment
DHCC bills the customer after the session is complete and expects payment
within 30 days.
