The following are some of the DHCC CART policies. All policies are subject to change without notice. If you are interested in becoming a customer, please call 610-604-0452 Voice/TTY or email ird@dhcc.org for the most updated policies.

Cancellation Policy
Once an assignment is confirmed, DHCC must pay our contracted captioners unless they receive proper notice. Notice varies depending on the length of the assignment.

Requests for cancellation of real-time captioning services must be made with two (2) full business days notice in between the date of cancellation and the date of the assignment. Example: A Thursday assignment must be cancelled by Monday. A request for cancellation may be made by phone, fax or e-mail, and you should obtain confirmation from DHCC of receipt of your cancellation. If we have no record of a cancellation or if cancellation is less than two (2) full business days, you are responsible for payment of contracted hours and any equipment rental.

Teams

For long or complex assignments, two captioners may be needed. Customers will be notified of this requirement in advance of confirmation of the assignment.

Time Reserved
Customers are billed for the full time of the assignment, which includes any breaks for coffee or meals. On-site assignments will be billed in full hour increments after the first 2 hours. Remote assignments will be billed in half hour increments after the first hour.

Availability and Lead-time
DHCC does its best to fill all CART requests. However, we can only provide services if the subcontracted captioners are available. We recommend 5 days lead-time for your requests.

Furthermore, with the proper lead-time, you can avoid higher costs. Regular charges apply to requests made with more than 3 days notice. Less than 3 days notice increases the cost by 40% and less than 1 day notice, doubles the cost.

Payment Terms
Payment is required within 30 days of the invoice. DHCC gladly accepts Visa and MasterCard. Payments made after thirty days may be subject to an interest charge with notice.
