Mission
To promote equal communication accessibility and cultural awareness to the deaf, hard of hearing and hearing populations by providing quality communication services, advocacy and educational programs.

Strategic Planning Goals
DHCC recently began a strategic planning process to review our programs and services and to build a roadmap for the organization’s future growth and development. A consultant from The Nonprofit Center at Lasalle University facilitated the process.

We sent surveys to deaf, hard of hearing and hearing individuals who used or would use our services. We also held focus groups and got feedback from our interpreters and sign language teachers. The Board of Directors and staff worked closely with the consultant to develop the strategic plan, which will guide DHCC’s development over the next five years. We are pleased that many people took the time to give us their input and appreciate their support.

The following are the six major goals:

  • Strengthen Governance and Leadership
  • Increase Visibility and Public Awareness
  • Enhance Programs and Services to Respond to the Changing Needs to Constituents
  • Develop Long-Term Financial Sustainability
  • Nurture and Support Human Resource Development
  • Build Technology Capacity to Enhance Service Delivery and Infrastructure
